When an event is over, or you no longer need registrations for a websites, you may want to archive or un-publish a website. In this article, you'll find:

1. What is Unpublishing?

Un-publishing is simply "releasing" a domain. You may want to use that domain on another website, or make it un-accessible because its a demo website.

2. What is Archiving?

Archiving is simply the act of sunsetting a website. When an event is over, you may want to show a message that says "Registration is Full", and eventually remove it completely so that it's no longer accessible. This is highly recommended for security purposes. Archiving will also help to keep your Dashboard clear, removing past events from your main view.

3. How to Unpublish a Domain

  1. Starting on the "Canvas" for your project, click on the 'cog' to go to "Global Settings".
  2. Now, click on the trash icon next to the website you'd like to un-publish.

  3. Follow the instructions in the pop-up. Choose "Yes, Unpublish".
  4. Once this is complete the page will refresh, and you'll notice that the website is no longer there. Please note that this domain will no longer be accessible from a web browser.

4. How to Archive a Domain

  1. On the Limelight Platform Dashboard, find the project you'd like to archive.
  2. Click the "3 dots" icon on the far left.
  3. Choose "Archive"
  4. Confirm by clicking "Archive" again
  5. Once complete, click "Dismiss" when you're ready to continue.

  6. To view archived events, be sure that the "Show Archived" toggle is turned on.
