Gift Cards Overview:
Create gift cards for customers to purchase and use within Shopping Cart payments. Users who purchase a gift card will receive an email with all gift card information that they can then forward to their intended recipient.
Creating Gift Cards
Follow the steps below to set up your gift cards:
- From the Dashboard, click on your user profile drop down menu. Select Account Settings.
- Select Gift Cards from the menu.
- Click the + icon at the top right of the display to create a new Gift Certificate.
- Begin to add your Gift Card details into the panel:
• Enter your gift card name and total dollar amount.
• Gift Card Name: This is used internally and should be detailed in order to identify it within the Gift Card library. - Set the currency. You can select from USD or CAD.
- Select the account level you want the Gift Card to be applicable to:
• Brand
• Client
• Campaign
• Project
You will only need to select one (1) option.
Ex: If you select at a Brand level, the gift card will be applied to all clients, campaigns and projects listed under the brand.
If you select at project level, it will only apply to the project and not the other account levels. - Add a Title and Description.
• Title: This is the title of the gift card that the customer will see on the website front end.
• Description: A brief description of the gift card, this could include an outline of any restrictions. The customer will see this information. - Once you’ve completed the details, click the Save button.
Implementing Gift Cards On Your Website
Follow the steps below to add your gift cards to your website.
- Enter into your project from the Dashboard. Click on the Canvas button.
- Find the web page you want to add the gift certificates to. Click the edit (pencil) icon to enter the web page editor.
- Click on the Shopping Cart section.
- Click the dropdown menu within Gift Certificates to Display. Select the gift cards you want to use on this page. You can click Select All if all are to be used. Click Save.
- Click on the navigation dropdown and select Project Canvas.
- Click on the blue cog wheel to enter into the Website Global Settings page.
- Click Save, then Publish to push everything live.
